• Income Tax Return from your current country of residence, last 3 pay slips, or other documents proving declared income.

*Permanent residence visa may be submitted if the client does not have a Declaração de Saída Definitiva.

If you are a Foreigner, you must have the following original documents:

• CPF number;
• Passport from your country of residence;
• NIF number (tax identification number in your current country of residence);
• Proof of Residence (issued within the last 3 months);
• Income Tax Return, last 3 pay slips, or other documents proving declared income.

Accepted Proof of Residence documents are utility bills (issued within the last 90 days), such as water, electricity, gas, internet, and others.

Accepted Proof of Income documents include: foreign income tax return, last 3 pay slips, or other documents related to companies where the client is a partner in Brazil (articles of incorporation, trial balance, and profit distribution minutes).

The Notification of Permanent Departure from the Country (Declaração de Saída Definitiva) is a simple notice to the Brazilian Federal Revenue informing that you will cease to reside in Brazil from a specified date. It must be submitted by anyone who plans to live abroad for more than 12 months.

The Declaration of Permanent Departure from the Country (Declaração de Saída Definitiva) is the final Income Tax Return (IR) specific for those leaving Brazil. This declaration covers the months when the individual was still a resident and must be filed between the first business day of March and the last business day of April of the year following departure.

NIF is the tax identification number in your current country of residence. It is equivalent to the CPF number in Brazil.

After filling out the form on Banco Rendimento’s website, you will receive an email with a link to proceed with opening your checking account. Upon completion of registration details and digital submission of documents, you will receive feedback within 48 hours about your account approval or any pending requirements. The entire process is 100% digital, with no need to send original documents.

Once your account is opened, you will receive instructions to create your internet banking access password, as well as access instructions to the Foreign Exchange Portal (Portal de Câmbio), where you can send funds abroad or settle foreign currency transactions for funds received from overseas.

There are no limits for domestic transactions (such as bank slips, transfers, etc.). However, documents may be requested after the transaction is completed, in compliance with current regulations.

No, only individual accounts can be opened.

Yes! It is possible to invest in CD (Certificate of Deposit) at Banco Rendimento while living abroad. Through the Checking Account for Non-Resident Individuals, you can make investments and redemptions in Brazil. Investments are done online via Internet Banking.

Regarding international transfers, there is no limit. However, if the remittance amount is equal to or greater than BRL 100,000, we will require documentation proving the source of funds.

Regarding domestic transfers, there is no limit. However, for transfers equal to or above BRL 500,000, for security purposes, we will request confirmation from the client (via email or phone) including beneficiary details and amount.

Pix is an instant transfer system between accounts in Brazil, regardless of the originating or receiving bank. Transferred amounts are credited to the recipient’s account in under 5 minutes.

No, Pix transactions are free of charge.

There are no costs. There is no limit to receiving Pix, but sending Pix has a limit of BRL 50,000 (requests for increases can be made via Internet Banking).
